Dower, John : A New General Atlas of the World compiled from the latest authorities both English and Foreign containing separate maps of its various countries and states, and exhibiting their boundaries & divisions also the chains of mountains, rivers and lakes and their geographical features comprehended in forty seven maps. London: Henry Teesdale & Co., 1837. Folio, approx 270mm x 380mm with original mottled boards, lower board loose. Complete with 47 hand coloured engraved maps including the Rivers and Mountains plate. The large foldout double pages of the India plate (300mm x 710mm) have been reinforced with tape at/near the folds. Bright, clean and full original hand colour. Overall in good condition.
