Prout, J.S. : Antiquities of Chester. Ackermann, London, Boult & Catherall Chester, ca.1840. Folio 370mm x 280mm. Original brown ribbed cloth, recent cloth re back. Both boards original blind tooled with gilt title to front, bumped at corners. All edges gilt. New end papers. 1 tinted lithograph frontis, Title, verso blank, litho, dedication verso blank. 19 tinted lithograph plates [20 in total]. One plate extra to that listed in Abbey 97 - The Cathedral, Chester, West Entrance. Light fox on some plates, all good strong print and all paper guarded. A good copy of this 19th century view of Chester.
