Mayhew, Henry,. 1851: Or, The Adventures of Mr. and Mrs. Sandboys and Family, who came up to London…….illustrated by George Cruikshank, London: David Bogue, 1851, 8vo. Blue blind stamped cloth, front hinge broken. Engraved title leaf, (iv), pp242 , 10 plates, 9 folding, 3 of which are foxed and have small fold tears, without loss, not distracting. No pagination at p.63. Some pages uncut. Inserted between pages 178 and 179 is an advertisement for " The Great Diorama of Jerusalem", printed both sides and along blank margins. Letter press on this and all other pages is deep and strong. A good example of this notable work.
