Edinburgh and London. 1906. Limited 1st edition of 540, 520 of which available to the Public. 2 Vol. 8vo. Half blue morocco on cloth boards, gilt titles to spine, 5 raised bands. Top edge gilt. Patterned endpapers. Over 240 full page colour illustrations of tartans, on heavy woven paper, interleaved with text pages of descriptions of the Tartans and a history of the Clans, 21 full page colour plates of Coats of Arms. Some very light wear to cloth covers, morroco in near fine condition. Small Henry Sotherans label on front free endpaper of volume one. All pages and plates in fine condition. A very attractive pair of books.
