London, Thomas Roycroft for Richard Blome, 1673. First Edition. Small folio size approx 320mm x 200mm. Title within double ruled lined border. Dedication. Preface [5]. Table of Benefactors [5], 24 engraved leaves showing 806 Coats of Arms. Folding engraved map of the British Isles. 50 folded engraved maps of counties of England and district maps of Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Islands within pp464. Contemporary full calf, five raised bands with gilt decoration within each. Red gilt title piece. Binding bumped at edges, spines weakening at edges. Later book label of Gloddaeth Library on front pastedown. Manuscript signature of Thos. Mostyn of Gloddaeth, who is included in the list of benefactors. The map of Norfolk has a 11mm hole within engraved area, otherwise all pages and maps are in near fine condition.		Click this link for more details

London: Henry Teesdale & Co., 1837. Folio, approx 270mm x 380mm with original mottled boards, lower board loose. Complete with 47 hand coloured engraved maps including the Rivers and Mountains plate. The large foldout double pages of the India plate (300mm x 710mm) have been reinforced with tape at/near the folds. Bright, clean and full original hand colour. Overall in good condition. Edinburgh. nd but 1842, folio (approx. 485mm x 320mm). Contemporary half morocco, rebacked with new end papers. Some marginal fraying, neat ink inscription on title page, index, 69 plates (51 hand coloured in outline maps on 69 double-page engraved map sheets), double-page engraved table of mountain chains, [2], 16pp index. Light offsetting to hemispheres, several splits at folds; some entering the engraved surface, map of Italy with large repaired tear. This volume includes the two important maps, one of the United States and one of Mexico, both showing the Republic of Texas. A very clean, good example of a relatively rare atlas.
