Boards a little bumped and rubbed, wear to top edge spines. Lift offset and foxing to endpapers, the pages and illustrations are in excellent clean and bright condition. Loose in Vol three is a publishers note explaining that due to demand they found it impossible to have sufficient number of complete sets bound for publication day, they are therefore delivering two volumes now and the other two volumes in a few days. Wear suggests these four volumes have always been together. A Very Good set of this 1st Edition keystone collection. |

John Quinn (1870-1924) was a second generation Irish-American lawyer in New York and patron of modernist literature. He was a friend of Yeats, Joseph Conrad, and Ezra Pound and legal defender of James Joyce and T.S. Eliot, and organized the 1913 Armory Show of modern art in New York. Townsend Walsh (1872-1935) was a theatrical agent, playwright and author, and a close friend of Walsh. |
