Original full morocco with gilt decoration to end and inside boards by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Gilt titles to spine with 5 raised bands. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Black and white map illustrated end papers. Black and white frontis portrait of the author. Pp 128. Spine a little sunned, slipcase with light age wear. All pages and binding in tight, bright and clean condition. (Pertelot 105). Very scarce in this format, in excellent condition.

Decorative title in red and black, initials in red, pp 151, ten full-page colour illustrations by John Bratby, list of subscribers at rear, colophon, on handmade paper made by Timothy Powell of Sheepstor, Devon. An attractive collaboration from South West England. Very good condition throughout.

Moore, George : Ulick and Soracha. Nonesuch Press, London. 1926, 8vo, 1st edition. Limited No. 1154 of 1250 numbered copies signed by the author with copperplate engraving by Stephen Gooden. Natural buckram with gilt titles to spine. Stiff paper dust wrapper, with red stencil design, a small tear to op edge (6mm). Edges rough cut. PP286 on Japon Vellum. In excellent clean and bright condition throughout. The book is dedicated by Moore to Lady Cunard, with whom he conducted a long lasting love affair. He writes " I have come to think of you as an evening fountain under embosoming trees…" the imagery of which Stephen Gooden has captured this in his engraving.
