A Plan Of The City Of Siam or Juthia [Ayutthaya]. From Plans of the Principal Cities in the World. London, John Stockdale. Ca1776. Copper engraved Plate XXXV. Sheet Size 255mm x 350mm, plate size 175mm x 250mm. Scale 1 inch to 1800 feet. 15 locations are identified including the Great Palace, the Great Pagoda and gardens. Juthia was the capital of Siam until 1767 when it was completely destroyed by fire. This plan provides a rare record of the city, location of buildings and garden plans just before this
destruction. Bangkok was later to become the capital of Siam. A very clean and bright 18th Century plan. Scarce.
