Blaeu, Johannes. Montgomeria Comiatus et Comitatus Mervinia. [ Montgomeryshire ]. 1654. Sheet size 540mm x 615mm, map size 380mmx 505mm. Mid Wales area covered of Montgomery and Merioneth. Early hand colour heightened on gold. With elaborate title cartouche, distance scale and coats of Arms, including that of Lord Herbert of Montgomery. Dutch text to verso. Wide blank margins have some tears and folds where previously mounted. 25mm border outside map edge in good, undamaged condition. Some very light age tone to map but the good colours and strong gilt make this a very attractive map.
