Kitchin, Thomas: A New Map of Carnarvanshire drawn from the latest
Authorities. The London Magazine, ca.1780. A copper engraved map
with hand coloured outline, of the county later known as
Caernarfonshire, now Gwynedd. Overall size: 210mm x 260mm. Map
size : 170mm x 210mm. Fleur de Lis watermark to paper. Early
light fold mark across map. Bright and clean. With a pictorial
title cartouche, county shield, compass pointer, scale (approx
6miles to the inch) and explanation. Shows the roads, parks and
towns including Bangor, Llanberis, Conwy and Pulhely. A neat
early record. |
