Original steel engraved map with original outline hand colouring. 6 vignettes include Peasants of Sweden, High Mine of Dannemora Upsala, Norwegian Laplanders Winter Dress, Stockholm, Norwegian Peasantry and Norwegian Skate Runners. Decorative border. Single page unfolded map in excellent, clean condition, small nick to blank margin. Associated text page of the Montgomery Martin Atlas included.

An original hand coloured steel engraving with vignettes. 8 original coloured vignette views including Icelandic costumes, reindeer in Iceland, bird catching on a cliff, basalt rocks, geysers and Mount Hecla from Odde. Scale in English miles and list of mountains in the Icelandic map. Size approx. 320mm x 475mm. 4 small tears without loss to edges, 2 of which just touch vignettes, otherwise clean and very attractive.
