The Images We have taken great care to fairly represent and describe all our products. The images are scanned or photographed and then compressed to dramatically reduce download times. This compression may sometimes slightly alter the colour balance and will normally degrade the overall image quality. If you wish to see a more detailed image, then please contact us and we will be happy to send you a .jpg file at a higher resolution. |

Please accept our apologies if a listed item becomes unavailable. Given the unique nature of our products, we cannot guarantee to be able to obtain an identical alternative. Our Prices Each item has a listed price in UK Pounds sterling and for guidance in US Dollars based on an approximate exchange rate. The total order price is converted to your local currency on your credit card statement. For a precise value in your currency, you could use the Xerox on-line currency converter www.xe.com. Within the EU, antique maps and books are zero rated for VAT, so no tax is payable. You are responsible for the payment of any local taxes and duties for orders placed outside the EU. |

Our Descriptions Our items are described using the standard booktrade definitions which are applied in the context of the age of the item:- As New = Same as when published, crisp and very clean. Fine = Similar to "As New" with no significant defects but not crisp. Very Good (VG) = Some minor wear, however no significant defects. Good = Average used book condition with wear but no pages missing. Ex-lib = Ex-library item in any condition. |

Post and Delivery We usually ship by Royal Air Mail around the World. If you require faster delivery, then you can select from a range of options such as Special Delivery or FedEx when you place the order. The cost of each shipping option is clearly displayed in the checkout area. We will charge you only for the the actual cost of your selected method of carriage and packing. If the total value of your order for books exceeds £1,000 (approx $1,900USD), then shipping and handling is free of charge and sent by Federal Express or Royal Mail Special delivery. We use a range of fully protective packaging to suit your order. |

Returns And Cancellations If you wish to cancel the order, we offer a 7 day money-back guarantee on all our goods.
